Have a Rustic Barn Springtime Wedding at Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N

Your wedding ceremony marks the beginning of a new phase in your lives, just like Spring is a time of renewal. Springtime is the perfect time for a garden-themed wedding. Whether you embrace pastel wedding colors, fruity food, or pretty cocktails, there are many ways to embrace a spring wedding in the Rocky Mountains.

Choosing to get married in Spring means you have an abundance of wedding flowers to choose from. Spring brides are marrying at one of the most beautiful times of the year and typically flowers are cheaper than they would be off season. Spring allows you to purchase flowers from local growers, which reduces your ecological footprint and supports local businesses. Some perfect wedding flowers are peony, rose, sweet pea, lilac, hydrangea, and tulip, among many others. Thinking about wearing a flower crown in your hair? Match your flower crown with your bouquet for picture perfect moments.

Need spring wedding ideas? Turn your wedding venue into a secret garden by lining the aisle with potted plants. Give your wedding guests a packet of seeds so they can start their own garden in your memory as a wedding favor. Encourage your bridesmaids to wear floral dresses that mix-and-match. Spring cocktails are fun and can include edible flowers and berry flavors.

Since the weather can be unpredictable in the Rocky Mountains, be prepared to cover up in case of cooler weather. Brides can accent their wedding dresses with fur cover-ups and shawls. The bride and groom can wear matching cowboy boots. Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N’s wedding facilities include the historic rustic barn next to a reflecting pond, ceremony deck, 36′ by 80′ event tent, bridal cabin, grooms quarters, fire pit, memories to last a lifetime, and much more.

Springtime allows you to embrace nature in your wedding photos. Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N has beautiful meadows filled with flowers, a meandering stream, and a rustic barn that are perfect backdrops for your wedding photos. The trees and plants will be green and lush with life and will make for wonderful wedding photo opportunities.

Spring is one of the most romantic seasons, with nature in full bloom and the sun reemerging after a long winter. Spring is the perfect season to get married. Let Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N host your spring wedding in the mountains. Check out some of these photos and contact the ranch today for a tour:

Thinking About a Fall Wedding?

Fall can be one of the most popular times to plan a wedding—and for good reason! Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N is the premier wedding venue for a fall wedding in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The outdoor wedding spot is available to you and your wedding party or you can have the wedding indoors at the rustic barn or banquet hall. Fall in Colorado also means the aspen trees are turning their brilliant yellows, oranges, and reds. Your wedding photos will pop with color in September or October; make sure to talk to your wedding photographer about the best time of day to shoot photos and plan your wedding ceremony around it.

Fall flowers (think Queen Anne’s lace, dusty miller, dahlias, garden roses, anemones, marigolds, sunflowers, and succulents) and signature fruits (think apples and pumpkins) make for the sweetest décor and are great additions to a fall themed wedding. Greet your wedding guests with hot, cold, or hard apple cider to sip on during your wedding ceremony or reception. Decorate your reception venue with pumpkins, hay bales, and the earthy tones of autumn. Cover your dinner tables with dried greenery and flowers, figs, and warm candlelight for the perfect Colorado mountain wedding.

Speaking of dinner tables, fall harvests are bountiful with comfort food. In-season vegetables include root vegetables, squash, pumpkin, and sweet potatoes. Colorful fruits like apples, cranberries, and pears are also available in the fall. You can incorporate any of these fresh fall foods into your wedding menu (think warm butternut squash soup), decorate your wedding cake with cranberries, or give some of these delicious fruits as wedding favors.

The historic barn at Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N is the perfect wedding spot for your rustic fall wedding. The wedding coordinator, Rami Carter, can’t wait to talk to you about fall wedding ceremony and reception ideas. Contact the ranch today and check out some of these fall wedding photos:

Catherine’s and Kaleb’s Summer Wedding

Catherine and Kaleb chose to host a small and intimate wedding at Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N. Their ceremony was held in June of 2018 so they could take full advantage of the beautiful scenery the ranch has to offer. The couple set up dinner on the deck so that guests could relax under the warm spring sunshine and dine among the blooming flowers and meandering creek.

This couple has a true love for Colorado and wanted to share their love for the outdoors with their wedding party. Wild Horse Catering and Quintessential Events set up a long kings table on the deck just outside the historic barn. Wedding photos were taken by Ashley McKenzine Photography. We love it when Ashley comes back to shoot a wedding at the ranch; she shot our very first wedding and has been back time and time again capturing some of the most amazing sunsets and couples. Hope you enjoy!

The Danz!

Danielle and Dan were married on a chilly fall day surrounded by their friends and family at Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N. Hosting a wedding for these two was so much fun! We worked with them to make sure their wedding day was perfect and included lots of color and nontraditional elements.

One of the nontraditional elements of their wedding was the wedding party performing a play on how the couple met complete with props and full scenes. It was a crowd favorite! To complete her vision of a colorful wedding Danielle included buttons in her flower bouquet and choose bright colored linens for the tables and scarves for the bridesmaids.

Danielle is a veterinarian so of course all tables were named after some of her favorite animals! This party really was the “Cats Meow.” Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N was delighted to host Danielle and Dan’s wedding and provide memories to last a lifetime.

Katy & Jeff’s Boho-Ranch I Do’s

Jeff and Katy were married in late August in what was one of the first official fall days.  They were so lucky in the fact that it rained all day long until it was time to walk down the aisle.  The sky opened up and one of the most stunning sunsets ended the day for their visiting guest.

Check out some of the great photos of their big day.

Nikki and Ryan!!!

Not only is Nikki and friend, but she has worked along side me here at Pick Me! Weddings for several years now.  When she called and said that Ryan had finally popped the question and she wanted to get married in a short amount of time, I was thrilled!  Nikki and Ryan own property just a couple of miles from the ranch so it only seemed fitting for them to get married in their hometown.

With lots of sunshine, most of the wedding party spent the day on the deck taking in the amazing views and watching the sunset.  Nikki’s parents own a restaurant in town and did most of the catering while friends smoked some amazing meats throughout the day.

Nikki came with great ideas all the while keeping it simple and fun for everyone involved.  They had to get married before hunting season to get Ryan to the alter. It was August or wait until next year.  Thanks for hosting your event with us.  We wish you both a lifetime of happiness.

We met Derek and Miranda last winter when the Neiberger’s purchased the ranch.  They had planned to have their wedding at Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N and fell in love with the beauty of the ranch.

Their summer afternoon affair was set under blue skies on the deck.  Where Miranda and her mom collected antique china for each guest place setting.  Their guest dined on Bennet’s BBQ and Cheesecake before rocking out under the stars.

We can’t thank Miranda and Derek enough for being our first wedding clients and trusting their big day to us.  Here’s to many wonderful years together!
