Rustic Barn Wedding at Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N

There is no better place to have your rustic barn wedding than the wedding venue at Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N. The owners of the ranch, the Neiberger family, built the barn themselves as a labor of love. There’s two barns on the property, the older barn is called the Homestead Barn and the newer one is called the Barn Outback. The historic barn can accommodate up to 200 of your wedding guests for your big day. Take your wedding photographs with the rustic barn or the Rocky Mountains as your backdrop, or both! If you want to check out the ranch come now because due to the big snowpack in the 2018/2019 winter season and lots of ran in May and June the ranch is lush and green and filled with wildflowers. Have a Summer Garden Wedding at Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N!

The summer months of June and August are the most popular times of the year to get married, and for good reason! Summertime typically allows more flexibility for brides and grooms who have busy work schedules. If your guest list includes families with school-aged children, summer is a great time to have a wedding so the children can participate in the festivities.

Summer weddings are inspired by beach, garden, nature and outdoor themes. If you are thinking about having an outdoor wedding, come take a tour of the ranch to see the meandering river and reflecting pond that add to the natural beauty at Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N. With panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, it will be the perfect backdrop to your wedding photos and venue.

The summer season’s flowers have much to offer in terms of décor for your wedding day. Flower crowns are popular during the summer, especially designs featuring eucalyptus and pastel petals. In-bloom summer buds include zinnias, dahlias, peonies, and garden roses. If you are dreaming of a garden wedding, think about draping lilac, thick branches, and lush greenery over a doorway to create a floral portal into your wedding ceremony site.

Consider featuring summer favorites in your wedding menu that embrace the season’s flavors and help your guests cool down. During cocktail hour, serve cool food like fruit skewers, shrimp cocktail, crisp vegetables, and frozen watermelon slices. Signature drinks can include a fruity gin bar, his-and-hers cocktails garnished with fresh fruit and edible flower petal ice cubes, and water infused with cucumber, lemon, and mint. For your wedding dessert, feature summer sweets such as a naked wedding cake, ice cream sandwiches, or a peach blueberry cobbler.

If you have dreamed of having an outdoor summer wedding, make sure you have a plan B in case weather rolls in on your special day. Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N has a 36 foot by 80 foot event tent that can be your perfect plan B. Make sure to coordinate with your wedding photographer to have your wedding pictures taken in the morning or evening to avoid the summer glare at noon. Since summertime can be hot, summer wedding attire should be made of light, breathable fabrics. Wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses made of cotton organdy, chiffon, or crepe or voile over silk are light and beautiful.

Strawberry Creek Ranch 9N is the perfect mountain destination to host a summer wedding in the great outdoors.
